Mullet Bun Jr started as an improvised jam during a dec 2020 new material recording sesh at Thin Thicket's Bearcave Studios in Youngstown, OH. Unc D improvised the riff in between songs, leading the band into a short jam to flesh out any possible directions for the infantile song idea.

After the session, Thin Thicket engineered 808 midi matching for Gino's drum track, you could hear this especially with the high hat track up front. From there, Unc added some overdubbed drum sequences, gave it a quick master, and the result is Mullet Bun Jr.
