After recording the master of Mullet Bun on to a tape machine, another take of the song was recorded with an alternative knob-fiddling performance done by Thin Thicket. Whereas Mullet Bun proper features mild knob-fiddling on the tape machine's speed/tuning knob, on this alternative version Thin Thicket radically operates the speed/tuning knob, bringing a unique change of phrasing for the track.
