Muni and Unc D linked up over Reddit early in the summer of 2020 with the intention of doing an international release, as Muni is based in Amsterdam and Unc D lives in Ohio. Muni sent over the beat and Unc D remote recorded improvised bass guitar in two sessions: the first outside at a local park whilst fighting bugs; the second in the early days of 2021 from his home studio in Ohio. Muni then edited, mixed and mastered the beat, and with adding a piece of art Unc made in the summer of 2020 as the cover art, Via Marina was a thing...
