Talas is the second single ahead of my upcoming T’Uncsten LP. This vibrant electro-jazz track originally began as a 9 min improvised jam on analog 808 drums and an upright bass emulator played on a MIDI guitar controller. From here, an in-studio sextet improvised over the full length of the track, afterwards being edited down to single length. Talas’ slick quasi-go-go groove and sonic variety sit the track comfortably in electronic, jazz and funk environments.
